This place is nasty. It has that smell of that restaurants have we they are infested with rats. I know because I worked in that business for years. The bathrooms are nasty will make you want to vomit. I can't believe anyone would sit down in this place and still want to eat.

Beware! Beware! Nasty rundown shack of a building. Tasteless food. To make matters worse, I am suffering from apparent food poisoning since eating there yesterday. I will never eat there again. Filthy! Disgusting!

I love coming home to visit my family. I also love the #1 house special. Fried chicken breast stuffed with ham served with a veggie mix and white rice. Delicious! The beef fried rice is also very tasty! Eggs rolls are huge and hit the spot. The owners are very nice. It is definitely a must on my eating places when I come home.

I visited Oriental Garden's on the recommendation of a coworker. I ordered the beef and broccoli lunch special which included fried rice and a wonton for $5.30. The food came out quickly and looked good. The rice was ok and the beef was really tasty. I would definitely go back again. I think i'll try th house fried rice next time.

The best egg rolls in the world aren't in China, they are at Oriental Gardens in El Dorado, Arkansas. The place isn't much to look at, but the food is good and the prices are unbeatable.

Yes it looks like a dump...but don't most awesome, local treasures?? Have you ever seen Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives? They have THE best egg rolls and brown sweet and sour sauce (that they apparently make in-house because I asked which oriental stores in LR I could buy it at...and you can't). The portions are huge, the food is always fresh and the prices are unbeatable. My daughter and I just had two full entrees (sweet and sour pork and the Mandarin chicken, both with fried rice and egg rolls) and our bill was $13.66. And we had to take some home because we couldn't finish it all. I've been going here since I was little and still make sure to stop here every time I come back to El Dorado to visit. My personal favorite is the sweet and sour pork, but a lot of people love the boneless fried chicken (my second favorite) MUST order the egg rolls if you visit. You'll thank me.

The setup: The intrepid rookie yelper, Paul E, decides to take a much needed and LONG overdue vacation. Not having seen mom or other relatives in a long time, I decided to go to Arkansas to visit. While on the drive back to her house from the airport, she suggests stopping for dinner. We decide to hit up a place near her house called Oriental Gardens. Hmmm...Chinese food? In Arkansas?? Far east meets the Dirrty South ???* Yeah, that's what I thought too. But I figured what the heck, let's try it...and it would be nice to buy dinner for mom. Besides, there's plenty of time for some of her home cooking (btw...eating sweet potato pie as I type...hahahaha). Stepping inside, I was greeted by a nice lady that was more than happy to take my take-out order. Scanning over the menu, I just ordered up a bunch of stuff at random...whatever looked interesting. And just about everything we ordered was pretty good. First up was their appetizer plate - crab rangoon, chicken wings, fried won tons, shrimp toast, BBQ spareribs, wings, and a ginormous egg roll (looked more like a small burrito). The only thing I tried were the BBQ ribs, which were small but good, and quite meaty. The won ton soup was tasty - a simple broth with lots of fresh veggies, sliced pork, and big wontons stuffed with ground pork. Also had their house specialty #1, which is Fried Boneless Chicken w/ Ham and Chinese Vegetables (as described on the menu). One of my favorites - skinless white meat chicken stuffed with thick slices of ham, then very lightly breaded and fried. Yeah, I'm a sucker for meats stuffed inside of other meats (mmmm.....turducken), and I found myself munching on this one the most - not greasy, very lightly breaded, and not overly spiced...just chicken and smoky pork living in harmony. Between all that and the veggie fried rice, I was a happy camper, as was moms. The portions were huge, so an hour later...as well as the next day...there was still plenty of food left. And we hardly made a dent in the menu. Before I head back for Socal, I think I'll give mom a break from the kitchen so we can head back for dinner, and try a few more items. The Kon Bo pork and Singapore noodles sound interesting... * - Well, maybe Arkansas isn't considered dirrty south...just slightly grimy, I guess.

My Absolute Favorite Chinese Place!!! Whenever I get a chance to make it to El Dorado, I MUST eat at Oriental Gardens. It doesn't look like much from the outside, or when you go in. They could use a good remodeling. Looks are deceiving The #8 on the lunch menu is my fav, Fried Chicken with veggies and a gravy sauce! There's enough left for the midnight fridge raid as well. GREAT VALUE! CHEAP BUT DELICIOUS FOOD! FRIENDLY PEOPLE!

moo goo guy pan forever!!!!! bestest cheapest lunch on the earth. for real. yum yum yum. I've been going here ever since my mom was pregnant with me. The people who own this place are so awesome. it is hard to maintain ethnically diverse restaurants in such a close minded place, so there are good reasons that they have been open as long as they have. probably seats 60 people, so if you have a big table, best to call in advance. the decorations on the inside and that yummy smell of fresh rice cookin is so nice. eat here.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
